Description

Introduction

Optimized for extracting gDNA from plants. Protocol is simple and do not require using multiple types of columns. Extraction of high-quality, high-purity plant gDNA is possible.

Feature

1) User-friendly silica membrane spin column method

2) Simple lysis protocol, shredder column not used which improves gDNA yield

3) No organic solvent precipitation step

4) Excellent quality, extensive validation performed against tricky samples (plant seeds, rice, wheat etc.)

5) QC performed 2 times to minimize lot-to-lot variation

6) Instant response to customer inquiries or complaints

7) Enzyme(Proteinase K, RNase A) components are lyophilized, stored at room temperature before initial use

Specification

Product name : PURETM Plant gDNA Extraction Kit

Package : 100 tests/kit

Storage condition : Can be stored at room temperature up to 1 year. Proteinase K and RNase A may be stored at room temperature before initial use. After dissolution with distilled water, recommended to aliquot and store at –20°C in order to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Sample types that can be used : Use leaves if possible. Stems and seeds also work, but thorough grinding is necessary. If results are not good, we recommend to use our PURE Strong Plant gDNA Extraction kit, which uses polymer-based lysis buffer of great efficiency.

MOQ : No MOQ required

Certificates of manufacturing facility : ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485

Q&A

1. What are the features of the PURE™ series that make it different from other extraction products?

A : Other products use pretreatment(shredder) columns and require two types of spin columns, resulting in a long or complicated extraction process. In addition, some products use organic solvents such as phenol and chloroform. The PURE™ series developed by Infusion Tech does not use pretreatment columns and enables high-purity, high-concentration nucleic acid purification with a single spin column. The precipitation process using organic solvents is also not required, making it a quick and easy three-step process (lysis, wash, elute).

2. Can I extract nucleic acids from samples other than plant leaves?

A: The product is optimized to extract gDNA from plant leaves. We recommend plant leaves, but other samples such as petals, seeds, rice, etc. are also possible. For preparation, please grind the sample from which you want to extract DNA using liquid nitrogen and a mortar and pestle, and measure the appropriate amount to perform extraction.

3. Is it okay to use old samples?

A: We recommend using fresh samples as DNA may not be extracted from old samples. If you have no choice but to store at -80℃ samples prepared using liquid nitrogen, please perform extraction within a week.

4. What is the recommended amount of sample to perform extraction?

A: The recommended amount is 100mg or less for leaves and 80mg or less for hard seeds.

5. Is it possible to perform follow-up experiments (NGS, Sequencing, PCR) with the PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit?

A : PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit has the advantage of extracting high purity and high concentration of nucleic acids, so it is possible to perform subsequent experiments. Extracted gDNA can be used in various experiments including NGS, sequencing, PCR, electroporation, and cloning.

6. Are the components of the PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit sterile?

A: The components of the PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit are sterile.

7. Which buffers in the PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit do I add ethanol to?

A: BW buffer and Wash buffer should be used after adding ethanol. If you want to check for other components, please refer to the MSDS of the product.

8. How is product quality control (QC) performed for the PURE™ Plant gDNA Extraction Kit?

A: The QC of all products is performed by randomly selecting products of the same LOT after production and performing extraction using our standard sample. The test methods are quantification, electrophoresis, and PCR. Products are released if they meet our criteria.

9. How do I use lyophilized components (Proteinase K, RNase A)?

A: The lyophilized components should be used after adding the appropriate amount of distilled water specified in the manual and completely dissolving the powder. After initial dissolution and use, store at –20℃. It is recommended to store in aliquots as performance may decrease if they go through repeated freezing and thawing.

10. The filter was clogged while using it, why?

A: The amount of sample used to perform extraction is presumed to be high. We recommend re-experimenting within the sample volume range specified in the manual. If the amount of sample is small, it is likely that a low concentration will be measured when quantitating, so please reduce the amount of elution buffer.

11. There are white powder on the wall of the spin column. Is there something wrong with the product?

A : The powder on the wall of the spin column is filter powder caused by static electricity during the manufacturing process. When the solution pass through the filter, the powder will be caught by the filter, and will not influence purity of the eluted DNA.

Introduction of manufacturer

Infusion Tech was founded on 2020. We have focused on developing nucleic acid preparation and molecular diagnosis PCR kits.

We have over 20 patents on novel nucleic acid extraction methods which we have integrated into our lysis buffers of some of our products.

We also have universal extraction kits using silica membrane technology. We have plenty experience performing extraction against various types of research and IVD use samples. Through our combined experience we were able to release high-quality research purpose kits.

Our biggest confidence is in our products quality. We perform extensive quality control, we make sure lot-to-lot variation is minimized.

Many users in Korea have recognized the stable quality of our kits and are changing from market leader kits to ours.

We exhibited our products at many prestigious international medical exhibitions including AACC, MEDICA and MEDLAB.
